PCBA Inspection & Test
PCBA inspection and test is a critical quality control procedure in electronic product manufacturing, aiming to identify defects in components, soldering and circuit performance, guarantee that the printed circuit board assembly meets design standards and operational requirements, and lay a solid foundation for final product assembly and stable long-term usage.
Our inspection and testing of PCBAs mainly consist of the following processes:
1. PCBA Visual Inspection
Visual inspection focuses on checking physical and appearance defects of PCBA, covering raw components, welding quality and overall board condition, which is the primary step of quality screening.
• Incoming Component Inspection: Verify component models, specifications and pins; check for damages, oxidation, deformation or mismarked items to prevent unqualified parts from entering production.
• Solder Joint Inspection: Check for cold solder joints, false welding, bridging, missing solder or excess solder; ensure full, smooth and firm solder joints without burrs or cracks.
• Board & Component Layout Inspection: Confirm no scratches, breaks or deformation on the circuit board; check component placement, alignment and polarity without offset or reverse installation.
• Cleanliness Inspection: Ensure no residual solder, flux, dust or other contaminan on the PCBA surface to avoid circuit interference.
2. PCBA Electrical Performance Test
Electrical performance test verifies the connectivity and electrical stability of PCBA, eliminating hidden troubles of circuit short circuit, open circuit and abnormal power supply.
• Continuity & Insulation Test: Detect open circuits and short circuits inside the board, test insulation performance between circuits, and ensure normal circuit connection.
• Voltage & Current Test: Measure working voltage and current of each circuit node, check whether data matches design parameters, and avoid overvoltage, undervoltage or overload faults
• Impedance Test: Test circuit impedance value to ensure signal transmission stability, suitable for high-precision and high-frequency electronic products.
3. PCBA Functional Test
Functional test simulates actual working scenarios to validate whether the PCBA can complete preset functions normally.
• Full Function Verification: Power on the PCBA and run related programs to test signal transmission, component response and overall functional execution.
• Anti-Interference Test: Test PCBA stability under external electromagnetic interference, ensuring normal operation in complex application environments.
• Aging Test: Conduct long-time power-on operation under simulated working conditions, inspect durability and reliability, and screen out early failure products.
4. Post-Test Disposal & Record
Qualified PCBA can enter the next assembly procedure; unqualified products shall be marked, isolated and reworked or repaired accordingly.
Complete detailed inspection and test records, including test items, data results and defect information, for subsequent quality traceability and process optimization.
